TV: COME FLY AWAY Soars into the Pantages - Inside Opening Night!

The new Broadway musical and U.S. National Tour of COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, made its Los Angeles debut at the Pantages Theatre Tuesday, October 25 for a strictly-limited 2 week engagement thru November 6, 2011. Michael Sterling, co-producer and Los Angeles correspondent for Broadway World TV, along with Associate Producer Jerry Evans of the JLE Media Group, Inc. covered the evening's festivities. The star-studded guest list included many of the late Sinatra's celebrity friends and family members. After attending the performance, Sterling said "In short, the show is an intoxicating marriage of pure harmony and wedded bliss."

COME FLY AWAY weaves an unparalleled hit parade of classics, including "Fly Me To The Moon," "My Way," and "That's Life," into a soaring musical fantasy of romance and seduction. Cast members on the U.S. Tour include Matthew Stockwell Dibble who originated the role of "Chanos" in the Broadway production, as well as Ron Todorowski, Cody Green, Marielys Molina and Meredith Miles who also appeared in the production on Broadway. Mallauri Esquibel, Marceea Moreno, Martin Harvey, Laurie Kanyok, Ramona Kelley, Christopher Vo, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Martin Harvey, and John Selya are also featured, along with ensemble members Marina Lazzaretto, Candy Olsen, Julius Anthony Rubio, Amy Ruggiero, Justin Urso, Tanairi Sade Vazquez, Michael Williams, and Chehnon Wespi-Tschopp.

COME FLY AWAY features scenic design by James Youmans, costume design by Katherine Roth, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Peter McBoyle. Additional arrangements and orchestrations are by Dave Pierce and Don Sebesky.
