BIO

Liz is an actor, writer, multi-instrumentalist & stand up gal.

She lives in East LA with her husband and her 2 good dogs, Detective Munch and Patty. They have too many keyboards and just enough guitars.

An LA native, Liz grew up in the deep Valley with her mom, a couple of dusty trail horses, and a succession of golden retrievers.

She studied writing & acting at Johns Hopkins, and voice at Peabody - until she started singing in bands instead, which has been a real hoot.

Today, she is lucky to be getting her cute little face on the boob tube and the silver screen, performing indie rock and alt-country bands at Zebulon to the Walt Disney Concert Hall to the top of Mt. Wilson and beyond, doing stand up on stages all over LA, taking part in theatre and opera performances with companies including Overtone Industries, Ghost Road, Theatricum Botanicum, Theatre Rocius, and others, AND writing whenever and wherever she can find a pen.

She's grateful to spend most of her time on her passions of writing, acting, singing, activism, and, of course, goofin'.

She believes art-making is a serious and rigorous endeavor that must be approached with child-like curiosity, abandon, and joy.

BWW Review: MTW Has a Rollicking HOLIDAY INN
by Don Grigware - Dec 10, 2019

Who can beat the prolific talent and indomitable spirit of Irving Berlin? His music is ageless. On film Holiday Inn in 1942 introduced the world to 'White Christmas' that became a great big movie hit as well but not for another 12 years. Many forget that White Christmas was a hit in 1954. Then White Christmas became a hit onstage in 2000 and Holiday Inn didn't come to Broadway until 2016. We're talking almost a hundred years, and people still crave Irving Berlin.

BWW Reviews: A Formidable Ellen Geer Becomes LEAR at Theatricum Botanicum
by Ellen Dostal - Jun 14, 2014

A frightening thing happens when a woman plays the title role in a gender-reversed King Lear; the betrayal and revenge between mother and sons takes on an added level of horror. BWW Interviews: Fringe Spotlight: A TWELFTH NIGHT that began in a Wedding Chapel
by Ellen Dostal - May 17, 2014

In January 2014, Mine is Yours Theatre Company produced Twelfth Night, or What You, guerilla-style, in a local wedding chapel; a decision producer Hannah Pell says seemed especially appropriate. 'More than any other Shakespeare comedy, this one seemed to specifically look at how life and death exist side by side, and the chapel was perfect for that.'
