The FOA Foundation has announced $100,400 in Art Grants for 2024, supporting the arts and fostering creativity in the community.

On Friday, April 28, in true Academy-award style, 200 community and cultural leaders came together to celebrate the 15th annual Art Star Awards. Held on the Festival of Arts grounds, this year's red-carpet reception and ceremony featured pop-up musical and dance performances as well as live art demonstrations, all complimented by champagne and h'oeuvres.

 The Laguna Beach Arts Alliance has announced that Laguna Beach artist Kathy Jones will be the honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Annual Art Star Awards to be held on Friday, April 28 at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach at 5:30 p.m.

Parents of children ages 3-6 are invited to join Hoff-Barthelson Music School Dean Christopher Kenniff and Associate Dean Kathy Jones on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 8:00 pm for an informative online discussion via Zoom about starting their child in private music lessons.

The FOA Foundation has announced the twenty-one organizations awarded $100,500 total in arts grants for the 2023 year. The FOA Foundation helps fund the many art-related non-profits in the Laguna Beach community, emphasizing those dedicated to education and the cultural enrichment of the local community through the arts. 

The Laguna Beach Arts Alliance has announced that the 15th Annual Art Star Awards will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, on the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach at 5:30 p.m.

The FOA Foundation has announced applications for 2023 Art Grants. Nonprofit organizations with programs promoting fine arts in and about the City of Laguna Beach may apply. The submission deadline is February 28, 2023.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) has announced nominations for the 7th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards honoring outstanding achievements in make-up and hair styling in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. Winners will be honored at the black-tie gala on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live. Today's announcement was made by MUAHS President Julie Socash.

Live Downtown on Saturday night, February 16, 2019.  Winners in the Feature Motion Pictures categories include A Star is Born, Vice,Crazy Rich Asians and Mary Queen of Scots. Television winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Westworld and Dancing with the Stars. For the categories of Motion Picture Made for Television, winners include King Lear, Cocaine Godmother and Jesus Christ Superstar: Live and in Concert.

Winners in the film categories include 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' 'Cinderella,' 'Furious 7' and 'Pitch Perfect 2.' Television winners included 'American Horror Story: Hotel,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'The Walking Dead' and 'Scream Queens.'

The 2016 Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards Show will be held Saturday February 20 at Paramount Studios Theatre, Hollywood.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA - The Festival of Arts board of directors appointed Laguna Beach resident and Festival artist Kathy Jones to an open board seat. Jones is filling a position on the board that was left open by Tammie Arnold who resigned and moved to New York due to a job opportunity. Jones will be completing the remaining year of Arnold's term.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced last night, June 14, the winners of the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in a sold-out, grand gala for over 1,100 attendees at the Westin Bonaventure, in downtown Los Angeles. The Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards will be broadcast from Las Vegas for the first time on June 27th, 2010 over the CBS Television Network.
