Clubbed Thumb has announced programming for early 2021 and new additions to the Clubbed Thumb staff. First up, a short documentary series created by Clubbed Thumb Directing Fellowship alumnae Kate Eminger, Kate Hopkins and Caitlin Sullivan titled Eat Your Feelings.

The World Premiere of Rinse, Repeat, a new play written by Domenica Feraud (Betafish) and directed by Kate Hopkins (The Pool Skimmer) has announced a one-week extension at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Perhaps if, like most first attempts at playwrighting penned by a young unknown who is also cast in the leading role, Domenica Feraud's RINSE, REPEAT had a modestly-produced premiere production in a small black box theatre, this reviewer would be more enthused to recommend an interesting work in progress by a new and underrepresented voice.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2018. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 12 May with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place two weeks earlier on Sunday 28 April at The Brewery, London.

The Fools & Kings Project in collaboration with Riverbank State Park opens its free outdoor production of The Winter's Tale on Saturday, May 5th at Summit Rock at 6:00 PM (entrance at W. 81st St and Central Park West). This marks the first production of the company's fifth season of free, outdoor Shakespeare.

In association with Beth Morrison Projects and VisionIntoArt, The Aging Magician now celebrates its off Broadway premiere with The New 42nd Street at the New Victory Theater - a theater dedicated to providing children with quality (and usually fantastic) productions in the very heart of Times Square. The Aging Magician is a sensuous piece that is as much a feast for the mind as it is a tug to the heartstrings. It is enigmatic, almost like being lost in a Tim Burton inspired circus with a need to explain the sadness of nostalgia, mixed in with the wonder of keeping those memories alive; it is a show that is perhaps more magical to adults than to children, adults who can understand the almost ethereal pull of a past one does not wish to be gone.

Five time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb has launched a new artistic program aimed at supporting the development of early-career directors. The new directing fellowship is under the mentorship of Obie Award-winning directors and Clubbed Thumb affiliated artists Anne Kauffman (Belleville; Detroit; Clubbed Thumb's Dot, among others) and Ken Rus Schmoll (The Invisible Hand, Iowa, Clubbed Thumb's Card and Gift, among others). The program will be run in partnership with Playwrights Horizons Theater School, where Clubbed Thumb is currently in residence.
