Ray Stevens And Brenda Lee Honored With Cecil Scaife Visionary Award


On Sunday, December 4, Nashville's CabaRay Showroom proved to be the perfect location to surprise music legends Ray Stevens and Brenda Lee with The Cecil Scaife Visionary Award. Stevens, who was in on the planning of the event, thought he was giving the award to Lee and Lee thought she was giving it to Stevens.  

Jermyn Street Theatre Announces Winner Of Woven Voices Prize For Playwriting


Today, Jermyn Street Theatre has announced the winners of two major initiatives promoting underrepresented theatremakers: the Woven Voices Prize for Playwriting in collaboration with Woven Voices, and the 2022 cohort of Creative Associates. The winner of the first Woven Voices Prize, dedicated to celebrating and platforming migrant playwrights, is Kazakhstan-born  Karina Wiedman (video here) with her play The Anarchist.

Walter C. Miller, Former CMA Awards Executive Producer, Dies At 94


Walter C. Miller, award-winning television director and producer who served as an executive producer, producer and consulting producer for the CMA Awards for more than 40 years, passed away last night, Nov. 13, 2020. He was 94 years old.

The Country Music Association Presents International Awards in the U.K. & Australia


The Country Music Association presented International Awards this past week during C2C: Country to Country festival in London as well as CMC Rocks QLD festival in Australia. Award recipients included Canadian singer/songwriter Dean Brody, BBC Radio 2's Mark Hagen, six-time reigning CMA Awards Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town, Spotify's John Marks, AEG Presents' Milly Olykan and Chris Country's Chris Stevens.
