From 'the world's most popular rock musical' to an explosive rock orchestra fronted by Billy McGuigan to Tara Vaughan's love letter to the badass women singer/songwriters who made music history, Rave On Productions promises a summer filled with great music and great friends in our favorite open-air venues.

Billy McGuigan's company, Rave On Productions, will debut the first show in The Omaha Series this weekend with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, performing a limited run at The Waiting Room in Benson. The Omaha Series is made up of four rock-musicals performed in a variety of venues around the Omaha Area.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch will come to The Waiting Room Lounge as part of the Omaha Series. Hedwig features music and lyrics by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, and is directed by Kimberly Faith Hickman.

Once will open Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at the Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP). The show will run in the Hawks Mainstage Theatre from Feb. 28 through March 22. Performances will be held Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Collaboraction will reunite 200+ Chicago artists involved in the creation of this year's third annual PEACEBOOK Festival for a one-day-only, marathon celebration showcase of more than 20 world premiere short works about peace Sunday, October 7 at The Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Avenue in Bucktown. 

Launched in 2015, Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema will celebrate the thesis projects created by its first graduating MFA class, highlighting topics including parenthood, disability, racism, immigration, gender issues, sexuality, and aging at the inaugural Feirstein Film Festival. This first annual event will take place May 22-23 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and feature a film screening, screenwriters table reading at the Made in NY Media Center, and screen studies conference at the Feirstein school.

Legendary stage and screen star Joel Grey will be interviewed at 12 noon on Sunday, May 28 at the Paley Center for Media in New York City (25 West 52nd Street, NYC), preceding a screening of the 1970 NBC Telecast of George M! from 12:15 to 1:45 PM. The interview and screening are free and open to the public.

Belmont, puts a spin on the traditional fundraiser with THE FUN HOUSE - a festival of FUN!, an annual event to benefit the nonprofit Chicago-based venue on June 14 from 3 p.m.-12 a.m. THE FUN HOUSE will feature family-friendly indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) entertainment from 3-8 p.m. including music, face painting, a puppet show, interactive games, photo booth, and live performances from the Jesse White Tumblers , internet sensation Team StarKid, Camp Rhythm, and Stage 773's very own Bri-Ko (winners of 'The Best of the Fest of the 2014 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival). Adult entertainment begins at 8 p.m. through Midnight with performances from The Cupid Players, Vaudezilla, Fruit Flies and Brothers Star Race. The family-friendly silent auction runs from 3 p.m.-7 p.m., featuring a hot-air balloon ride and a private sailboat for 6 people. The adult silent auction runs from 3- 9 p.m. Tickets for the event are only $10 for folks 15 years and older and free for folks under 15 years of age. All proceeds directly benefit Stage 773.

ENCORE, the new collaborative project from HillTop Records and Carole Ita White, will be a compilation of songs by America's finest up-and-coming songwriters. The CD project will be executive produced by White, and the celebrated actress and singer will also choose one of the album's songs to perform. America's songwriters are encouraged to submit their original material for immediate consideration.
