BIO
Jaque was born in the province of Quebec. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, with the last 20 years dedicated to designing systems for hanging and flying performers and equipment. His design contribution to Cirque du Soleil helped create such masterpieces as "KÀ", "O", "Zumanity", and "Varekai", among others. A talented multidisciplinary artist, he is credited for having strong imagination and skills on both the artistic and technical aspects of his work. Having worked in theater, movies, television and live entertainment, his wide experience allows him to maximize the performance presented to an audience while always concentrating on the safety of the performers. In 2005 he was presented the CITT award for professional achievement for his contribution to the show industry and, more specifically, to the field of acrobatic rigging. He is regarded by his peers as a mentor and a leader of his trade.

Cirque du Soleil has announced that its new Big Top production, Cirque du Soleil UNDER THE SAME SKY, written and directed by renowned artist and stage designer Es Devlin, is coming to Boston for its U.S. Premiere. The show, presented by Air Canada, will premiere under the Big Top at Suffolk Downs starting August 29th, 2020. Tickets are now on sale.

The New York Times reports this afternoon that a second SPIDER-MAN performer has come forward to report an injury as a result of the show's complicated stunts. This second performer - who is remaining anonymous - claims to have broken both feet during the same catapult stunt from which Kevin Aubin broke both wrists, as BroadwayWorld reported earlier today.

Recently, the Associated Press was invited inside the Foxwoods Theatre to observe SPIDER-MAN in rehearsal. As reported on ABC News today, reporter Mark Kennedy reveals that the production will feature '41 cast members, 18 orchestra members and about 18 new songs by U2's Bono and the Edge.' The spared-no-expense 60M production also features a circular conveyor belt and high-intensity arial choreography by Cirque du Soliel.
