After the success of the recent Singapore and Europe tour, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra will embark on a massive Mainland tour spanning seven cities in May 2024.

After 18 years of a partnership between the Swire Group (Swire) and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil), Swire will be continuing its sponsorship of the HK Phil as Principal Patron for another three years, from April 2024.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) announced the upcoming concert, “China Life (Overseas) Proudly Sponsors: HK Phil 50 – Symphonic Reunion”. Held at the Hong Kong Coliseum from 27 to 29 April 2024, the three performances feature a stellar lineup of pop singers.

Finnish conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste will conduct Beethoven’s Eroica in his long-due HK Phil debut. Leading German concert organist Christian Schmitt joins the orchestra on Friday in a unique rendition of Bach’s famous D minor Toccata and Fugue, as well as Samuel Barber’s rarely heard Toccata festiva.

The HK Phil will welcome the return of two artists who gave exhilarating performances last season.
