MACBETH to Tour San Diego and Tijuana with Globe for All

The Old Globe's free Globe for All Tour returns for its 12th year, bringing Shakespeare's MACBETH to 25 venues across San Diego County and Tijuana. The production is directed by Marcela Lorca and features a company of nine actors.

Center Theatre Group's regional finalist Gerardo Navarro took first place in the August WilsonMonologue Competition (AWMC) National Finals held at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway last night, May 7, 2018. Representing Los Angeles and the Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, Navarro performed a monologue from 'King Hedley II,' which earned him a $1,500 scholarship and a $3,000 cash prize.

True Colors Theatre Company (Kenny Leon, Co-Founding Artistic Director) and Jujamcyn Theaters (Jordan Roth, President) are proud to announce the winners of the 10th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition that was held last night, on Monday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street). In first place, Gerardo Navarro from Los Angeles, in second place, Nia Sarfo from Chicago, and third place went to Teslyne Junior from New York City.

Center Theatre Group Names Three Local Students For AWMC National Finals

Center Theatre Group has named Hannah Franklin, Gerardo Navarro and Jackson Lewis as the top performers of the August Wilson Monologue Competition (AWMC) Regional Finals held at the Mark Taper Forum on March 5, 2018. Hannah Franklin and Gerardo Navarro will go on to represent Los Angeles in the national finals on May 7.
