Music Theater Heritage has announced the cast and creatives for its 2023 Season opener, R&H: Unplugged. This MTH original production features the timeless music of Rodgers & Hart and Rodgers & Hammerstein, reimagined with only stringed acoustic instruments.

Live, Indoor, Actor’s Equity sanctioned, precaution observed, musical theater has returned to Crown Center. Now running through August 22 is Musical Theater Heritage’s concert production of “Hair: Then and Now.”

MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced plans for its first live performance in over 14 months. MUSIC OF THE NIGHT, celebrating the songs of legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be held outdoors, on the open-air rooftop of The Westin Hotel at Crown Center, overlooking the gorgeous Kansas City skyline! The tribute concert will feature tunes from Webber's most iconic musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunset Boulevard and more!

Fans of Musical Theater Heritage are in for a treat with a new, locally conceived and performed streaming remembrance revue featuring the iconic music of a?oeRodgers and Hammerstein.a?? This MTH production uses parts of the finished scenic design from the Covid cancelled production of a?oeCarousela?? originally scheduled for last spring. It is excellently videoed and sound engineered on the internet Vimeo platform.

MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming  production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CAROUSEL.

The Green Room 42 kicked off their 2020 of 'GR42 Sings' with a bang! In their introductory season they tackled composers such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lippa, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alan Menken and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as celebrating Disney Villains and singing through In the Heights. They started off their 2nd season by singing through the music that has been a staple of musical theatre: The Music of Boublil & Schönberg. “GR42 Sings Boublil & Schönberg” was a night where we will fall back in love with the classics from Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, as well as listen to some lesser known work such as The Pirate Queen and Martin Guerre.

From the first bar of the opening song the audience quickly realizes this is not just another musical, it is an experience. The spectacular production of IN THE HEIGHTS opened Saturday, August 10 at Musical Theater Heritage in Crown Center under the direction of Nedra Dixon. This is the first production Dixon has directed for MTH and what a debut she made.

Drury Lane Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with 42nd Street, with music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, and original Broadway direction and dances by Gower Champion. 42nd Street is based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and was originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick. This production is directed by Michael Heitzman with choreography by Jared Grimes. 42nd Street runs now through January 7, 2018 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
