Theatre Frisco is excited to present A Little Night Music July 26 - August 11, 2019. The fast-paced Stephen Sondheim musical is the winner of four Tony Awards. Set in Sweden in 1900, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs of an actress and the men who love her as chaos and hilarity ensue. Karen Raehpour stars as Desiree Armfelt. Neale Whitmore directs.

The stories of four individuals in New York City loosely intertwine to give us a narrative about finding purpose and making authentic connections amid everyday routine. The couple Claire and Jason struggle through a rough patch in their relationship, while Deb and Warren strike up the most unlikely of friendships in the city that never sleeps.

From one of musical theatre's most exciting new composers comes ORDINARY DAYS, a refreshingly honest and funny musical about making real connections in the city that never sleeps (but probably should at some point.) ORDINARY DAYS tells the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intersect as they search for fulfillment, happiness, love, and cabs. For the final show of our 2018 season, Music Theatre of Denton is bringing The Hunchback of Notre Dame to the historic Campus Theatre. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, the musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be 'Out There,' observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools.

This show is well worth the trip to the Campus Theatre. Whether it is your first experience traveling back to the time of Eva Peron, or you are familiar with this particular story, you will likely find yourself questioning the character of the famous figure.

Our readers have spoken, and the winners of the 2017 BroadwayWorld Awards were announced earlier this week. We are thrilled to support and celebrate each and every one of the winners and nominees, and we're grateful for everyone who participated in the reader's choice voting process. We understand that the arts are not a competitive sport, but we're always happy to acknowledge local artists. This year, rather than picking my own pocketful of favorite performances, I'm exited to instead announce a handful of fresh faces I discovered in 2017 that I'm eager to see back onstage in 2018. Having lived in Dallas a mere three years, I frequently catch performers onstage for my first time, even if they've been long-term staples in our community. Who will I find this year? I can't wait!
