Peninsula Players Theatre present an in-person reading and a virtual audio recording of 'A Rock Sails By,' a new play by Sean Grennan, as part of its winter play reading series, The Play's the Thing. A reading of 'A Rock Sails By' will be performed in-person at Björklunden at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor, on Monday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. to a limited capacity of 80 patrons. Advance reservations are required for both events.

Peninsula Players Theatre Announces $15,000 Grant Award from The Shubert Foundation


Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, is proud to announce it has received a $15,000 award from The Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation awarded a record total of $26.8 million to 533 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States. The Shubert Foundation provides grants only to organizations that have established artistic and administrative track records, as well as a pattern of fiscal responsibility.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theatre and Door County's theatrical icon, opened its 83rd season June 12 with the world premiere of "Now and Then" by Sean Grennan, a new comedy-drama featuring Erica Elam, Sean Fortunato, Barbara Robertson and Greg Vinkler, the Peninsula Players Artistic Director. The cast is under the direction of Tom Mula who directed the world premiere of Grennan's "The Tin Woman" and "Making God Laugh."
