DWAYNE COOK began dancing at the age of three at The Houston Ballet Academy/J.C. Sanderson Elementary for the Performing Arts. He continued his training at Lamar Fleming Middle School Fine Arts Academy and was accepted into HSPVA. He joined Exclamation Dance Co. in 2006 .Dwayne has also trained at the Ailey School, the School of American Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem,PNB, Complexions and NDT . Dwayne is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma . Dwayne has performed works by world renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, ALVIN AILEY,Ben Stevenson, Matthew Rushing, Dwight Rhoden, William Forsyth , Judith Jamison, Christopher Wheeldon, Robert Battle, Thang Dao , Garrett Smith.He was a principal dancerPhiladanco , METdance. His commercial credits include dancing for Frank Gatson (Beyoncé), Chris Brown, Anthony Burrell, So You Think You Can Dance 8,9,10(Top 30)and Jazmine Sullivan.

His Broadway credits include The Wiz, Kinky Boots and Disney:The Little Mermai

Delphi Borich will return to TUTS in the role of “Ariel.” Borich was previously seen on the TUTS stage as “Belle” in Disney's Beauty and the Beast during the musical theatre company's 50th Anniversary Season. Christina Wells, who was in previous TUTS productions of All Shook Up and Seussical, will play “Ursula.”

Leading off the cast is Salome B. Smith in the role of 'Dorothy'. Smith is a recent graduate of Alabama State University where she performed in many theatrical productions including The Color Purple, Rent and Carousel. Marva Hicks is playing the role of 'The Wiz'. Hicks has appeared on Broadway in Motown The Musical, Caroline or Change, and The Lion King. Yvette Clark will play the roles of 'Evilene', 'Glinda', and 'Aunt Em'. Clark has appeared in numerous regional productions including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Showboat, Chicago, and Hairspray. Simone Gundy will play the role of 'Addaperle'. Gundy returns to TUTS after starring in the 2017 production of Memphis. Paris Nix is playing 'Tin Man'. Nix was last seen on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Allyson Kaye Daniel is 'Lion'. Daniel most recently appeared at TUTS as 'Miss Jones' in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Her other credits include Newsies, Ghost, and We Will Rock You. Christopher Campbell, who just appeared in the TUTS production of Oklahoma! as Will Parker, will play the role of Scarecrow
