When he died in 2018 at age 88, he left behind a legacy of masterworks unrivaled by any other modern dance artist. His life and legacy are the focus of The Celebration Tour, coming to Northrop on Sat, Mar 21. While presenters worldwide have been honoring Taylor with different versions of The Celebration Tour, Northrop's program reveals the incredible range of this legendary choreographer in three masterfully crafted and emotionally powerful works, demonstrating Taylor's keen understanding of a?oethe light and the darka?? of the human experience, performed by many of the dancers who completely embody his style.

Orchestra Of St. Luke's Bach Festival Launches In June

The inaugural season of OSL Bach Festival will feature three weeks of orchestral, chamber, and dance performances in multiple venues. The Festival's programmatic centerpieces, representing the theme of "Transformation," include performances by Paul Taylor Dance Company and twin interpretations of the Goldberg Variations, including the U.S. premiere of Bernard Labadie's arrangement of the keyboard work for Baroque ensemble.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) 43rd season continues in 2018 with 43 performances in 10 venues throughout New York City. The winter spring calendar offers wide-ranging programs from intimate chamber music concerts devoted to Baroque, Classical, and Romantic repertoire to a world premiere at Carnegie Hall by one of today's most lauded composers. Additionally, the Orchestra will play music for a legendary dance institution's Lincoln Center season and collaborate with a renowned choral group on a program that juxtaposes an established work with a new, dramatic oratorio based on the Orpheus myth.
