Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club and 2022 Tony Awards Honoree for Excellence in the Theatre, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work. 

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Rashad McPherson in Songs for the Summer, a night of feel-good tunes curated for the season on Tuesday, May 30 at 9:30 p.m. He will be joined by talented special guests, including Tony Award nominee NaTasha Yvette Williams, Grammy nominee J. Hoard, and Stomp star Aaron Marcellus.

A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and expand the art of the cabaret, honor the music of Broadway, and provide an unparalleled experience to diverse communities.

Avant Bard continues its Season 27 with the legendary African American musical The Gospel at Colonus, a soaring celebration of transcendence and the fragility of life. Recognizing excellence in High School theater, auditions for the 2010 Globe Honors competition will take place on May 1 at The Old Globe. Semifinalists and finalists will perform on the Old Globe Stage on May 17 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the announcement of the Globe Honors winners and an award ceremony. Winners of the annual competition will receive scholarships and the Leading Actor and Actress winners will receive an all expenses paid trip to New York City to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA) to be held June 28 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.

Pittsburgh CLO and Nederlander Alliances, LLC. will present The , celebrating excellence in high school musical theater programs nationally, at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, NYU (566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South) on Monday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Students from over 30 schools competed for the honor to represent San Diego in New York City for the National High School Musical Theatre-awards, June 25-29, 2009.
