BIO

Celeste Den is a trilingual (English, Mandarin and Spanish) performer based in Los Angeles. Known for her physical prowess and versatility, she has collaborated and performed in World Premiere projects such as Sacha Wares' "Wild Swans" at American Repertory Theatre and Young Vic Theatre in London, Chen Shi-Zheng's "Peach Blossom Fan" and Robert Canterella's "11 Septembre 2001" with Center for New Performance, Susan Simpson's "Spit! Shine! Glisten!" with the Cotsen Center for Puppetry, as well as "The Waste Land" with Filament Theatre Co. She also originated lead roles in "Between Two Friends" and "Island" at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, and "Laws of Sympathy" with Playwrights' Arena. Other regional theatre credits include "Conjunto" at Borderlands Theatre, "Othello" at The Theatre at Boston Court, "The Joy Luck Club" at East West Players, "The Merchant of Venice" with LA Women’s Shakespeare, and "Attrapee" with Poor Dog Group. In Film & Television, she has appeared in LARRY CROWNE (NBC Universal), POWDER BLUE (11:11 Films), CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS), THE DOCTOR (Warner Bros), and numerous independent short films and web series. Celeste received her BFA in Theatre from the University of Florida and MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts.



Celeste is currently the Producing Director of Filament Theatre Co., a multi-disciplinary performance ensemble created by CalArts alumni.

Chance Theater and Aurora Theatre Company Present Reading of COLONIALISM IS TERRIBLE, BUT PHO IS DELICIOUS

Chance Theater will be working with Aurora Theatre Company for the first time to produce a livestream staged reading of Dustin Chinn’s Colonialism is Terrible, But Pho is Delicious. Hampstead Theatre today announces the full casting for the world premiere of Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig's blazing thriller The King of Hell's Palace. Directed by Michael Boyd, this new play is based on the true story of a whistleblowing heroine and her extraordinary mission to expose a cover-up of epic proportions. The cast includes Aidan Cheng, Celeste Den, Tuyen Do, Christopher Goh, Togo Igawa, Vincent Lai, Kok-Hwa Lie and Millicent Wong.
