Caroline Kaplan
Caroline Kaplan is an American film producer whose career began as a production assistant on the documentary series Real Sex in 1990. She became a series producer on Inside the Actors Studio in 1995 and later worked as an executive producer on The Art of Influence in 1998, In Bad Taste in 2000 and iFilm@ifc, Crossover, With the Filmmaker: Portraits by Albert Maysles, Indie Sex: Taboos and First Person in 2001.

Caroline Kaplan is an American film producer whose career began as a production assistant on the documentary series Real Sex in 1990. She became a series producer on Inside the Actors Studio in 1995 and later worked as an executive producer on The Art of Influence in 1998, In Bad Taste in 2000 and iFilm@ifc, Crossover, With the Filmmaker: Portraits by Albert Maysles, Indie Sex: Taboos and First Person in 2001. She also executive produced BaadAsssss Cinema, Focus on Bill Murray and Focus on Jim Jarmusch in 2002, and Dinner for Five from 2001 to 2003.
Kaplan's film producing credits include Gray's Anatomy (1996), Boys Don't Cry (1999), Spring Forward (1999), Our Song (2000), Girlfight (2000), Songcatcher (2000), Happy Accidents (2000), Ten Tiny Love Stories (2001), Waking Life (2001), Women in Film (2001), Tape (2001), Chelsea Walls (2001), Final (2001), Monsoon Wedding (2001), World Traveler (2001), Tadpole (2002), Personal Velocity: Three Portraits (2002), Coastlines (2002), Ash Wednesday (2002), Happy Here and Now (2002), Pieces of April (2003), Camp (2003), Kill the Poor (2003) and Casa de los Babys (2003).
Her subsequent credits include November (2004), Land of Plenty (2004), Lonesome Jim (2005), The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005), Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005), The Baxter (2005), Pizza (2005), Sorry, Haters (2005), American Gun (2005), The Night Listener (2006), Flakes (2007), Letters to Juliet (2010), Another Happy Day (2011) and Generation Um... (2012).
In 2014, Kaplan served as an associate producer on Boyhood and executive producer on X/Y, while also producing Time Out of Mind. Her later credits include Norman and Strange Weather in 2016, En el séptimo día in 2017, Sorry to Bother You and Diane in 2018, After Yang and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On in 2021. Marcel the Shell with Shoes On was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2023.
Kaplan's television producing work also includes Running with the Bulls in 2003 and the Untitled Jersey City Project in 2011. Her film credits include executive producer roles on numerous independent productions throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Gray's Anatomy, Boys Don't Cry, Girlfight, Lonesome Jim, Me and You and Everyone We Know and Sorry, Haters.
