AUSTIN VAHLE (Director). Austin is a freelance director who has performed, stage managed, choreographed, and directed within a variety of community, collegiate, regional and professional theatres. Directing and/or choreography/teaching credits include work at Kentucky Performing Arts, Studio Players, Gateway Regional Arts, Woodford Theatre, Western Kentucky University, Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, Lexington Children's Theatre, and numerous educational theatre programs across the state of Kentucky. Following his own performance career, Austin now enjoys creating opportunities and inspiring the next generation of theatre artisans. In 2022, Austin was named one of the finalists and received an Honorable Mention for the Excellence in Theatre Education Award, presented by the Tony Awards and Carnegie Mellon University. In 2025, Austin served as the inaugural Staging Director for Kentucky and Southern Indiana's Inaugural Regional Awards Program for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards), The KPA Bradley Awards with Kentucky Performing Arts.
