The League of Professional Theatre Women Kicks Off New Season on September 13
With its continuing mission to support women theatre makers and creators through discourse, resources, and mentorship, the League of Professional Theatre Women (www.theatrewomen.org) will kick off its 39th season on Monday, September 13 at 7 pm with a free virtual event, open to all League members and women interested in future League membership.
'The Hacktivator' Booth Comes to Hackensack
Do you want to see more art and culture in Hackensack, New Jersey? Participate in 'The Hacktivator' project, a unique live and interactive art installation opening and launching at the NJ Transit Bus Station on Atlantic Street in Hackensack on Monday, November 4. The public can also contribute to and activate 'The Hacktivator' booth on November 5, 7, and 8. The temporary art installation will be open at these peak commuting times: November 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., November 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., November 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and November 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Sitting Shotgun Announces Fall 2018 Season
SITTING SHOTGUN's Fall 2018 mainstage season includes a contemporary reimagining of The Mad Dog Blues by Sam Shepard, a reading series of new plays, a new devised piece, and a premier of an original play, as well as a festival of horror themed work created by resident ensembles [REALITY PENDING], Cucumber Dogs, and Don't Trust the Postal Service (DTPS) to be presented throughout October. Cucumber Dogs will also present two new pieces at Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival in August and FringeNYC in October. The season is rounded out with Burn It To the Ground, a performance series curated by DTPS; Poet's Studio, a quarterly celebration of poetry curated and hosted by Jackie Torres; and will close with a special engagement of CARNIVAL OF SOULS presented by Jack Feldstein as a part of Sitting Shotgun's Casual Vacancy residency program.
