Nycda Foundation's 'Destiny Rising' Event Returns To The Joyce

The New York City Dance Alliance Foundation (NYCDAF) returns to The Joyce Theater, March 12, 2018 with Destiny Rising, a yearly fundraising performance benefiting it's college scholarship program. A forward-thinking charity committed to shaping the future lives and training of young dancers, NYCDAF presents a lustrous line-up of dance makers and guest performances—Andy Pellick, BalletNext, led by prima ballerina Michele Wiles, Mark Stuart Dance Theatre, The Chase Brock Experience, and more. Former NYCB principal dancer and TONY nominee, Robert Fairchild will be on hand to present a number of college scholarships in the spirit of the evening's program.

Dance Benefit DESTINY RISING to Feature Cedar Lake Ballet & More at The Joyce, 2/16

See some of New York City and the country's most renowned dance companies on Monday, February 16 at 7:30pm at The Joyce Theater (175 8th Avenue), where the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation will present DESTINY RISING, an incredible evening of dance artistry to benefit the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation College Scholarship Program (which to date has awarded $12.5 million in college scholarships to over 200 dancers all over the country). Featuring special performances from prominent professional dance companies from across the United States (plus outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni and NYC Dance Alliance faculty), some of the artists and companies taking part include Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, the Intermezzo Dance Company, and Keigwin + Company. There will also be over $50k in college scholarships awarded the night of on 2/16.

On Monday, April 21 at 7:30pm at The Joyce Theater (175 8th Avenue), the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation will present DESTINY RISING, an evening of dance artistry benefiting the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation College Scholarship Program (which to date has awarded an impressive $8.4 million in college scholarships). Featuring special guest performances from prominent professional dance companies from all over the country, outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni and NYC Dance Alliance faculty, some of the artists taking part include Broadway dancers and NYCDA faculty Joey Dowling (In The Heights, Sweet Charity) & Andy Pellick (Original casts of Wicked & Tarzan) and the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company.

On Monday, April 22 at 7:30pm at The Joyce Theater, the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation will present DESTINY RISING, an evening of dance artistry benefiting the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation College Scholarship Program. Featuring outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni, choreography from NYC Dance Alliance faculty, and special guest performances from prominent professional dance companies, there will also be a post-performance talkback available to all in attendance. VIP tickets are $100 (prime orchestra ticket and a ticket to the after party), additional tickets are priced at $45 (orchestra seating) and $25 (for loge or front row orchestra seating).
