BIO

Amanda is a proud Connecticut native that has a deep passion for anything creative. From Theatre to Writing and Design, the one encompassing word that can define her is CREATOR.

Amanda has been published on many sites, such as Redbubble, Broadwayworld, and OnStageBlog to name a few. From reviews to theatre lifestyle blogs, Amanda has been noted as quite the wordsmith among her colleagues. She also has extensive administrative skills with a true eye for functional organization.

Graphic Design started as a hobby, like anything else, and very quickly became another passion. Her eye for marketing allows her designs to catch the eye and keep your attention. Amanda has made production posters, stickers and apparel for her online shop, and most recently the book cover for Breaking Through Ice by Tamara Sharp.

Amanda discovered her joy for theatre in her preteen years, starting in backstage and transitioning to performance a few years later. Her favorite thing about theatre? The journey. She loves seeing projects develop and grow. Amanda also loves to note that you can never stop learning when you're in an industry like this. From new styles and techniques developed to new shows written, it's impossible to say you know everything because there is always something new.

by Guest Blogger: Amanda Grillo - Jan 19, 2017

For those that don't know, I personally identify as a 'techtor'. This term came to me one day when I was scrolling through Pinterest. It means an actor who is also a techie. Most people will pick one or the other and solely focus on one. That is honestly great for them. I, however, find that I am not alone in my adventure to learn everything. Several people that I've worked with are actors that also do tech or are techies that also act.

BWW Blog: Amanda Grillo - Luciana's Outlook: The Summer Reflection
by Guest Blogger: Amanda Grillo - Aug 22, 2016

Alas, the summer of 2016 draws to a close and I pack my bags for back to school in just a few short days. This summer has been one for the books. I learned a lot about myself, theatre, and life. If it wasn't for this production, I probably wouldn't have grasped those lessons as quickly, which is why I appreciate my friends and supporters that just tell it like it is. They know what I need to hear to get the point across. They know how to help me grow and aren't afraid to knock me down a few pegs if I get too high and mighty.

by Guest Blogger: Amanda Grillo - Aug 1, 2016

As we now are roughly two weeks from opening, I thought I would be a little punny. Two weeks from opening, I decided to do a 'double feature'. That's right, I am interviewing both sets of twins! In this 'twinterview', we will hear from both Dromios and Antipholuses Antipholi?
