Imagination Stage brings Mr. Popper's Penguins to the stage from June 22 - August 7, 2022 promising the most fun kids will have inside this summer! Based on the 1939 Newbery Honor novel by Richard and Florence Atwater, the musical's book is by Robert Kauzlaric, with music and lyrics by George Howe.

59E59 Theaters (Artistic Director: Val Day, Managing Director: Brian Beirne) is currently staging their latest devised production by the Happenstance Theater, BAROCOCO. BAROCOCO is running in Theater B. The show began previews on February 9, and opens today, February 13th. It is set to play until March 6, 2022.

59E59 Theaters has announced the casts of BAROCOCO and First Down. BAROCOCO will begin previews February 9 and open February 13 for a run through March 6, 2022. First Down is scheduled to start performances on February 18 and open February 24, ending its limited run on March 5, 2022.

In this collaboratively devised ensemble work, the award-winning, DC-based company, Happenstance Theater portrays oblivious entitlement on the brink of extinction. BAROCOCO, loosely inspired by the book Last Letters: Prisons and Prisoners of the French Revolution (1987) by Olivier Blanc, takes a physical comedy dive into the late Baroque and flaunts 18th century finery, wigs, panniers, gestural styling, elaborate ornamentation and the excesses of Rococo.
