AJ Howard has been performing locally in Adrian, MI since the age of 6. AJ has extensive experience in musical theatre, having appeared in over thirty shows, and has worked behind the scenes for another dozen shows. Credits: Godspell (Jesus), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Sweeney Todd (Anthony), Joseph... (Simeon), Grease (Doody), 150 Years at the Croswell (The Stagehand), Les Miserables, A Funny Thing Happened in the Way to the Forum (Protean), Mamma Mia! (Ensemble), and Barnum (Wilton).

The Croswell Opera House's production of MAMMA MIA! opened on June 15 and continues weekends through July 1, with 8 p.m. performances on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. performances on Saturdays and Sundays. Remaining dates are nearly sold out.

A cast of 18 students from nine high schools in three counties opened GODSPELL at the Croswell Opera House on Jan. 27. The show, which takes the 1970s musical and updates it with modern references and settings, is directed by Michael Yuen, a local educator who played John the Baptist and Judas in the 2000-2001 national tour of the show. According to Yuen, updating the show to the time in which it is being performed is in step with how the authors meant for it to evolve.
