Praised for his rich, gorgeous tone and playing that can range from lovely and elegant to a vigorous rock star energy, German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser returns to the NAC Orchestra after his acclaimed debut with the Orchestra in 2010. Moser will perform Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto, an elegiac and expressive work showcasing the young cellist’s exceptional talent. Newly appointed music director of the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, French conductor Fabien Gabel makes his NAC Orchestra debut leading Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 and Brahms’ perfectly crafted Fourth Symphony.
