Step into MIXT: A Living Gallery— The Why Collective's annual immersive experience where artist and audience blur into one.
This dynamic event transforms an empty space into a multi-sensory playground of LIVE music, dance, poetry, sound art, visual installations, and interactive elements, all woven together around a single theme.
For this iteration of MIXT, we’re embarking on a collective exploration of loneliness, isolation, and waiting, drawing inspiration from mythic heroines like Penelope and Persephone, the resilience of refugees and immigrants, the realities of chronic and invisible illness, and the cosmic mystery of the Fermi Paradox.
As soon as you cross the threshold of the gallery, you become a part of the living, breathing exhibit —with our signature Community Canvas, a poetry Open Mic, and interactive installations, there is something for everyone. And whether you're an artist, a hobbyist, or simply a curious human, we invite you to submit your work and become a lasting part of this one-of-a-kind gallery
Don’t just observe—experience. Join us at MIXT: A Living Gallery and explore what it means to wait, to connect, and to be alone together.
