Media-proclaimed grieving girlfriend, Michelle Carter, sent her long-distance boyfriend, Conrad Roy III, text messages encouraging him to commit suicide. Years after her involuntary manslaughter conviction, two law students are tasked with developing a defense for Michelle. Holding opposing views, they scramble to agree on a convincing argument before their deadline: tomorrow.
