Alison Cook Beatty Dance to Perform at the Lower East Side Festival of the Arts
New York, NY — Alison Cook Beatty Dance is honored perform at the 31st annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts on May 22nd. The festival will take place at the Theater for the New City, presented by Executive Director Crystal Field and the LES Festival Committee.
As part of its 14th season, the company will present Lifeline (2001), one of Alison Cook-Beatty’s most acclaimed works. This enduring duet, which has toured across the nation and beyond, will be performed by company dancers Madelaine Burnett and Facundo Ferreyra. Alison Cook Beatty Dance will perform at 7:20 PM on May 22. Festival hours are May 22 (6 PM–Midnight), May 23 (12 PM–Midnight), and May 24 (4 PM–11 PM). Admission is free.
About the Festival
The Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, produced by Theater for the New City, is a long-running, free, multi-arts celebration that showcases the top talent and extraordinary cultural vitality of one of New York City’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Since its founding in 1996, the festival has brought together over 100 performances and exhibitions spanning theater, music, dance, poetry, film, visual art, and more, transforming both indoor stages and city streets into a vibrant artistic hub. About the Company and the Dancers
Alison Cook Beatty Dance is a New York City–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, classically grounded modern dance company founded in 2012 by Alison Cook-Beatty. Through emotionally driven movement rooted in American modern dance, the company explores the universal human condition while fostering innovative artistic expression. Committed to the transformative power of the arts, the company engages diverse communities and collaborates across disciplines, with performances spanning across the United States and ongoing programming throughout 2026.
Dancers Madelaine Burnett and Facundo Ferreyra, are both internationally recognized artists, originating from Canada and Argentina respectively. They both performed as soloist dancers with Martha Graham’s second company before joining Alison Cook Beatty Dance. The two dancers were recently featured in articles and reviews by Dance Enthusiast, Critical Dance and more for their work with Alison Cook Beatty Dance.
