For over a century, Mars has served as a blank slate for a variety of different cultural and political imaginaries. Performing verbatim speeches from Elon Musk, Mars One candidates and other historic, cosmic visionaries, Will They Play Golf on Mars? interrogates the tensions between these divergent visions of a multi-planetary future. The results are humorous, strange and disturbing, asking whether the current utopian vision of a future on Mars, orchestrated by tech elites, is not in fact a dystopian nightmare.
