Painted Pistachio Productions, in collaboration with FAMA Theatre Group NY, excitedly presents the world premiere of The Spinnerets: A Dystopian Mystical Thriller in Three Acts. Directed by Anthony Logan Cole and co-produced by Alison Zhang and Douglas DuBrin, this original work, developed through multiple staged readings, now arrives as a vibrant full production. Running at the Hellenic Cultural Center in Astoria, The Spinnerets, an enthrallingly immersive theatrical experience, pledges to tantalize, rattle, and dazzle those who dare to attend.

Cast

Alison Zhang
Candy
Alison Zhang is a Brooklyn-based New Zealand actor and producer, and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In New Zealand, she performed in new works with Auckland Theatre Company (Manatees, Conversations with the Ghosts in My Bedroom) and Seed Theatre (Mooncake and the Kumara). In New York, her acting credits include Intestinal Pulchritude (Chain Theatre Festival, IndyFringe), Polaroid Stories, The Tempest, and The Winter’s Tale, as well as short films Divergent Dreams, Faces Unseen, Bagel, and Work Couple. She is a BroadwayWorld Off-Broadway Award nominee for Best Performance for Intestinal Pulchritude. Alison produced Mayonnaise Rizadas and Gatorade at La MaMa Galleria shortly after graduating and is co-founder of Painted Pistachio Productions, currently producing and preforming in The Spinnerets.
Tommie Q Dinh
Brandy
A proud trans woman and a Viet immigrant who began her acting journey in Arizona. After 6 years living in NYC, Tommie has appeared in a range of stage and screen productions, with notable credits including “Nothing Is What It Seems” (Theater Row); “Dolls”, a short film by Lilly Wachowski and Geena Rocero. She is currently working on an upcoming feature film.
Caydence Aug
Sandy
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Caydence Aug is a New York City based actor and recent graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Some of her previous roles include Tilly in She Kills Monsters, Prince Hal in Henry IV Part 1 and Lydia in Pride and Prejudice. She is unbelievably excited to jump into the role of Sandy and can't wait to bring her to life.
