Manuel and Guillermo meet to say goodbye. "The last selfie" (performed in Spanish) is a piece of micro-theater that portrays the friendship between two friends who are preparing to migrate, each to different destinations. In this last meeting, both will travel through their most fond memories and confess their fears and most intimate secrets, before taking one last selfie.
"The Last Selfie", written by the Venezuelan playwright Fernando Azpúrua, is produced by Group of the Arts - GOTA and with the performances of J. Edgar Mozoub and César Augusto Cova, is part of the official selection of works that will be presented at the Microteatro NY Festival, of Teatro SEA, within the umbrella of the BORIMIX Puerto Rico fest 2017, and will take place on November 17, 18 and 19, at Teatro SEA, located at Clemente Soto Vélez 107 Suffolk Street, New York, NY 10002 , in lower east side of Manhattan. Tickets are priced at $ 5 (per show / per person).
The way we interact has changed drastically with the arrival of social networks to our lives. The number of friendships seemed to have increased and we measure them but the number of likes, we receive. The values that make up a friendship, apparently, have also changed, double taps and follows have transform into companionship. But not all is lost; There are still true friendships where the cellphone is immediately displaced by empirical adventures.
