SPOKEHOUSE PRODUCTIONS presents Aaron Posner's STUPID F**KING BIRD at Wandering Barman in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Spokehouse Productions (Marissa Ferrara & Joey Nasta, co-producers) is mounting its first full-scale production of the year, STUPID F**KING BIRD, opening August 25th at Wandering Barman in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Amanda Whiteley (Spokehouse's founder & Artistic Director) returns to direct this sort-of adaptation of Chekhov's THE SEAGULL. Whiteley previously directed Spokehouse's inaugural production of HAMLET at the House of the Redeemer in November 2021.
This biting three-act comedic drama explores unrequited love, unmet expectations and why the f**k were still going to the theatre in the 21st century. Continuing their focus on site-specific work, the Spokehouse team is turning Wandering Barman into an alternative theatrical space where audience members can grab cocktails and enjoy the story play out all around them. Performances are August 25th at 7pm, August 27th at 2pm, August 28th at 2pm & 7pm, and Sundays from September 4th 18th at 2pm & 7pm. All performances will be held at Wandering Barman at 315 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and ID will be required for entry. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.
STUPID F**KING BIRD features India Beer as Nina, Devonn Duffin as Mash, Henry Gardner as Con, Martin Lewis* as Trig, Sid Ross as Sorn, Alex Scoloveno as Dev, and Danielle Skaastad* as Emma.
