Karlheinz Stockhausen, the controversial leader in postwar German music, influenced artists from The Beatles to Miles Davis. Sophie Dunér studied at his legendary courses, and in her new CD release with pianist Steve Beck, they deliver a unique jazz interpretation of Stockhausen’s Tierkreis, coupled with Francis Schwartz’s The Neon Pterodactyl.
