Two strangers, an affluent, middle-aged divorcee (Lisa Dennett) and a sardonic, gay Mexican American stylist (Ricardo Salcido), volunteer at a West Hollywood suicide hotline without any guidance. In this claustrophobic setting, they are forced to fend for themselves, performing a duty for which neither of them is qualified. They clash--of ideology, class and race/sexuality-- but despite their ostensible contrasts, they somehow find an intimacy between them and must tackle an increasingly dire phone calls as well as their own existential crisis. The production is directed by Daniel Echevarria. Check website for exact times and dates. Life Line is written by Robert Ellsworth.
