"In the Same World" is a 20-min Short-Play, part of the Celebration of Immigration Block at the International Human Rights Art Festival at The Tank Theater in NYC.
A tense night unfolds in a Los Angeles garage when Carlitos tries to stop Martin, his undocumented brother, from joining a new self-deportation program. As old wounds of privilege and belonging resurface, the confrontation reveals how negative rethoric against immigrants turned into policy fractures not only nations, but also families, and questions the moral comfort of inaction.
