Welcome to the groovy revolution! Join our Tribe and immerse yourself in The Rooftop Musical Society’s HAIR, our love-rock musical trip!
Become a member of the Tribe as we explore the hippie counterculture and sexual revolution of the late 1960s in our immersive production of the iconic musical HAIR, with book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot.
This is HAIR as you’ve never experienced it before. Enter our fab Flatiron pad and be transported to 1968 New York – an era where the youth of America live in the shadow of the draft and seek refuge from the strict confines of society in drugs and free love. Hear their cries for peace and freedom, and feel the power of protest as they struggle to change their world.
Start getting acquainted with your new tribe at 7:00pm (1:30pm on 11/6)! Check out the psychedelic pop-art, grab a drink, experience a mystical card reading or create your own protest sign, and then settle in for the trip as we explore the power of human connection in the ever-present fight for liberation.
Produced for the Broadway stage by Michael Butler. Originally produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival Theatre. This show is suggested for mature audiences due to adult language, brief nudity, sexual innuendo, and references to drugs.
