THE TANK, presents a one night only staged reading of FREE PARKING, a laugh-out-loud comedy about a game night that goes totally wrong. The play follows the chaos that ensues when people who should never play a game together have a game night. This play is the newest collaboration between playwright Sarah Hoogenraad and director Rebecca Wilson, whose previous collaborations (Celebrity Crush at Chain theatre, and Best Friends/Worst Partners as part of last year’s LimeFest) were celebrated by off-off-broadway audiences. The play is funny, shocking, and a wonderful homage to playing games with your friends (and enemies).
The cast features Jamie Gore Pawlik* as Liza, Lizzie Nguyen as Elle, Sarah Hoogenraad as June, Miciah Wallace as Bradley, and Jeremy Hardy Jr. reading Stage Directions. The show is stage managed by Chandler Holloway and directed by Rebecca Wilson, with tech operations from Aaron Gutterman. It is part of the Crush Plays project.
Free Parking follows Liza and Bradley, who have been together forever despite not liking each other at all. Elle has a thing for the Monopoly Man, and is Bradley’s work wife that Liza didn’t know about. And June is the scam artist with a heart of gold that brought them all together for this cursed (and hilarious) night. It’s a night you won’t want to miss. The team is actively seeking producers and investors for future iterations of this piece.
Free Parking is being presented as a part of The Tank’s LimeFest, a zesty festival that highlights and supports the work of womxn, non-binary, and gender non-conforming artists.
