At the beginning of Monty Python mania, Eric Idle bought a crumbling ruin in the hills of Provence. Step inside Idle’s “shackeau” at this celebration of his latest book—a hilarious and candid ode to the place he penned iconic songs and scripts, hosted friends including George Harrison and Robin Williams, and found a rare kind of peace far from the madness of showbiz. Join us for a lively and fun evening—that just might include a singalong or two! In conversation with Adam Gopnik (The Real Work).
All full-price tickets of $45 or more include a signed copy of Idle in Provence. There are a limited number of companion tickets available. These tickets are $25 and do not include a book. To purchase a companion ticket, add the number of tickets you would like to your cart. On the next page, choose "Companion Ticket" in the pulldown. The companion ticket will be discounted at checkout. Note that companion tickets are only available to purchase with a full-price ticket and do not include a copy of the book.
This event includes a discussion and an audience Q&A, but does not include a book signing.
