MMAC Theater's THE AMAZING MAX Extends Through June 2012

The MMAC Theater announces the further extension of the only weekly family magic show in NYC, the Off-Broadway run of The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things, extended by popular demand through June 30, 2012.

The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things is a magic show with a mind of its own. Magician Max Darwin makes objects appear out of thin air, as the laws of physics are defied, and miracles are performed inches from spectators' faces. As the props onstage seem intent on surprising even the magician himself, this out of control show bursts with striking visual magic, comedy and juggling, and loads of audience participation.  The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things is the wackiest, most interactive, highest energy magic show for families on the market today.

The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things is performed at the MMAC Theater located in the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center at 248 W. 60th Street, NYC (between Amsterdam and West End Avenues) in the Lincoln Center area. The MMAC Theater is the newest, most sought after off-Broadway destination for family shows with a current roster that includes Freckleface Strawberry the Musical and Pinkalicious the Musical.

"I am both proud and overjoyed to have The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things as part of our family programming at the MMAC Theater. I have followed Max Darwin's career for several years and consider him one of the most talented and diverse artists I have seen. His show is both captivating and entertaining for audiences of all ages," said Rose Caiola, Artistic Director of Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and Producer of Freckleface Strawberry the Musical.

Front row seats available on the Magic Carpet (VIP seating) $49.50, regular general admission tickets $29.50.  Tickets are available at www.telecharge.com or by phone at 212-239-6200 or 800-432-7250.

Special mid-week performances have been added at 3pm on Wednesdays, March 21, 28 and April 11, as well as an 11am performance on Monday, May 28.
