Angela Meade To Make Met Debut In 'Ernani'

Angela Meade will make her Met debut as Elvira in Verdi's Ernani on Friday, March 21, replacing Sondra Radvanovsky, who is ill.  Ms. Radvanovsky is scheduled to sing the remaining performances on Wednesday, March 26, Saturday, March 29 matinee, Wednesday, April 2, Saturday, April 5, and Thursday, April 10.

Meade was a winner of the 2007 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She is also the winner of the 2007 Hans Gabor Belvedere International Competition in Vienna, where she also won the International Media-Jury prize and the La Scala prize. She is currently a resident artist with the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia where she studies voice with William Schuman.
