Cantus Sings at the Alden Theatre 4/11

The Alden Theatre of McLean's 2009-2010 Professional Artist Series continues on Sunday, April 11, with a performance by Cantus, a nine-voice vocal chamber ensemble based in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn. The performance will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are $32, $27 for McLean district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
Cantus performs a mix of both old and newly commissioned music. The group rehearses and performs without a conductor or music director and its stylistic versatility and eclectic programming has delighted critics and audiences since 1995. Cantus' impeccable singing, engaging stage personality and heartfelt interpretations have struck a chord with audiences across the country.
