Till Burnam Wood… is an immersive, raw and dark journey that aims to take audiences into the world of Macbeth like never before. Picking up on cues from the text, Till Burnam Wood… will amplify the darkness of Scotland under Macbeth’s cloud of death and betrayal. Audience members will be blindfolded and given the experience of immersion as the action unfolds, safely, around them. This will be an experience of the language, the visceral sounds and overwhelming scents of Macbeth. Audience members will be given the opportunity to feel the wake of the witches as they vanish, smell the blood of a slain king and intimately experience the text. But most importantly, the audience will be given the opportunity to feel the energy of actors at work. No longer separate from the action, the electricity of the moment will be a shared experience between actor and audience.
