Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks, located at
221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.
Brief Synopsis:
This hilarious send up of the horror story genre has an ancient Transylvanian castle, creaking doors, a mad scientist, his misshapen assistant, a grim housekeeper, secret laboratory, shrieks from the depths of the cellar, disappearing villagers, an incredibly stalwart and stupid hero of sterling character, the scientist's absolutely dopey daughter, and so many laughs you'll lose count.

DAISY VON BLITZEN - his dumb daughter
FRANK STERLING - Daisy's boyfriend
BABSY BALLOU - Daisy's friend from school
MORD - Donald's little helper
GRETCHEN TWITCHILL - Donald's housekeeper
*HANS SHTUNKEN - a doctor
*FRITZ SHTUNKEN - a lawyer
*OTTO SHTUNKEN - a merchant
*HEINRICH SHTUNKEN - a police chief
#HANNAH ZITZEN - Han's fiancée
#FREIDA ZITZEN - Fritz's fiancée
#OLGA ZITZEN - Otto's fiancée
#HEIDI ZITZEN - Heinrich's fiancée
#MARITZA VON BLITZEN - Their older sister, married to Donald

*the same actor plays all five of these roles.

audition14@roverdramawerks.com for an appointment time, and access to a script will be made available to you. Be familiar with the script before coming to auditions.
- Please be prepared to present a short monologue telling about the best gift you ever received, and be prepared to read from the script.
- Please bring a resume and head shot. If unavailable, a recent photo is fine.
- References may be required.
- Actors must be between 10 and 18 years of age (inclusive) at the time of the performances.
- Youth actors will not be paid.
- There are NO TUITION REQUIREMENTS OR OTHER FEES to be involved with this production.
- Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin on or after January 4 – to be set based on theater schedule and conflicts of cast.
- Actors should be prepared to list all conflicts through February 15, 2020 at auditions. Actors with performance conflicts (February 6-15) need not audition.
