PREPARATION

  • Prepare two (2) contrasting 16 to 32-bar selections that show off voice, acting, and range.
  • Actors may be asked to sing entire song(s).
  • All are welcome to sing from the show and/or are encouraged to sing gospel or gospel-infused musical theatre.
  • Pianist will be provided, no a cappella singing.

BRING
  • Please bring a current headshot and resume stapled together.
  • Please bring clean, readable copies of your sheet music with accompaniment in your key, pianist will not transpose.

PRODUCTION DATES/LOCATIONS
  • Rehearsal Dates: January 20, 2020 through February 13, 2020.
  • Rehearsal Times: Weekdays typically from 6:30pm—10:30pm; weekends typically from 1:00pm—7:00pm.
  • Rehearsal Location: Dallas, Texas.
  • Technical Rehearsal Dates: February 10–13, 2020.
  • Technical Rehearsal Times: Typically from 6:00pm—11:00pm.
  • ALL Actors must be available on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 for a 10-out-of-12 Tech Rehearsal from 11:00am—11:00pm.
  • Performance Dates/Times: Friday, February 14, 2020 at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:30pm; Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 7:30pm; Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:30pm.
  • Technical Rehearsal & Performance Location:
    Majestic Theatre, Dallas, Texas.

COMPENSATION
Union: AEA LOA to COST.
Non-Union: Stipend, EMC points available.

  • TREMBLING SALLY: Female. Abby’s nemesis, lives in the woods like a wild thing; alto, F#3—E5.
  • LILY NOREEN LEWIS: Female. Abby's best friend, also doubles as Mother Samuels; soprano or alto, A3—G5.
