NENAproductions Theater Project, the resident theater company of The Historic Jersey Shore Arts Center will produce Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, the seldom performed, latest work from this team.. The show will run Fridays and Saturdays, October 4 to 12 at 7:30 and Sunday, October 13, at 3:00 PM. Directed and choreographed by Nick Montesano, Artistic Director of the company, with music direction by Jeff Brown, ROAD SHOW tells the mostly true story of the Mizner brothers who inherit a small fortune at the turn of the 20th Century and set out to grab their piece of the American Dream in a country where anything seems possible. The production will star Ray Dademo and Frank Falisi as the brothers, Addison and Wilson Mizner. Brian Craig apprears as Papa Mizner, Amanda Munice as Mama Mizner, and Sean Dickinson as Hollis Bessimer. The ensemble includes Keiran Varian, Neal Zucker, Amanda Winter, Roman Sohar, Samantha Maidlow, Aurora Jai Brunette, Andrew Young, Elizabeth Stefanic, and Christine Jay. Allison Walter is the Assistant to the Director/Stage Manager with Arnold Teixeira as Technical Director. Artistic Director Montesano was recently inducted into the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters Hall of Fame for his work as a Theater Founder with NENAproductions Theater Project. As an avid fan of Stephen Sondheim, Montesano gravitates to his works. He says, I am always anxious to mount a Sondheim show, be it popular and well received, or quirky and lesser known. Theres magic in all of them. ROAD SHOW bubbles with challenge and heart.. All seats for the production are $25 and available at www.ticketleap.com or by calling 732-988-1007. NENAproductions Theater Project strives to produce classic and seldom seen theatrical pieces that provoke meaningful discussions about the human condition while bringing a sense of pride to our community. Stephen Sondheims Road Show perfectly exemplifies NENAs mission. In the spring, NENA will produce the ever-popular family musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber. NENA uses all volunteer performers and stage help. Anyone interested should visit www.nenaproductions.org, or contact NENA at nenaproductionstheaterproject@gmail.com
