Classic American Tales presents a series of events featuring works by Louisa May Alcott, including stories performed by artistic director Gayle Stahlhuth. The program includes "A Double Tragedy: An Actor's Story," a narrative about an actor's haunted past under the pseudonym A. M. Barnard, and "Psyche's Art," focusing on a young woman's aspiration to sculpt. Additionally, Stahlhuth will host a lecture on Women of the American Theater from 1910 to 1930 at the Cape May Public Library and conclude with a reading of humorous fables by Ambrose Bierce and African fables. Performances take place at the historic Dormer House and Cape May Public Library from August 21 to August 28.
