Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever is a musical revue featuring music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., widely regarded as one of musical theatre's finest contemporary revues. Rather than following a traditional narrative, the show unfolds through a series of humorous and heartfelt vignettes capturing the joys, challenges, and everyday moments that define the human experience. The production is directed by Sara Louise Lazarus and stars Broadway veteran John Leone, an original cast member of Jersey Boys, alongside Julie Galorenzo, Cassie Krajcik, and Alex Perone. It serves as the finale of Centenary Stage Company's 2026 SUMMERFEST season.
