MOTHER: A Punk Rock Dance Musical is a collaboration between Black Label Movement and Sod House Theater, premiering September 4-7, 2025, at Sokol Hall in St. Paul, MN. Created by Carl Flink, Luverne Seifert, and Darcey Engen, this innovative work features an original punk score by Annie Enneking and combines dynamic choreography with immersive theater inspired by Maxim Gorky's novel. The musical confronts contemporary issues of corporate greed and oppression, drawing connections to the struggles of working people during the Bolshevik Revolution. Its visceral storytelling and high-energy performances aim to ignite a rallying cry for resistance and solidarity in the community.
