Penumbra Theatre Presents Sleep Deprivation Chamber 9/16-10/10

Penumbra Theatre Company, the nation's preeminent African American theatre, proudly announces the opening of Sleep Deprivation Chamber, by Adam P. Kennedy and Adrienne Kennedy, directed by Robbie McCauley on Thursday, September 16, 2010. The production will run September 16 - October 10, 2010.

Hennepin Theatre Trust Present BILLY ELLIOTT Happy Hour, 9/23

Hennepin Theatre Trust will host a special 5 p.m. Billy Elliot 'Happy Hour' On Sale Event set for Thursday, Sept. 23 at the State Theatre Box Office in downtown Minneapolis to launch single ticket sales and give those in attendance the best chance for great seats. On that day starting at 5 p.m., tickets will only be sold in person at the State Theatre. Added Happy Hour attractions include refreshments, exclusive offers by Trust restaurant partners and an appearance by BT, the Cities 97 Radio personality. The first 97 people in line will also receive a free Billy Elliot CD cast recording with purchase.

That production held the world record for being the longest running musical with its original cast, also easily making it the most popular musical production in Chanhassen Dinner Theatres' history. I DO! I DO! will open September 24th to two weeks of previews with a grand opening on Friday, October 8th on Chanhassen's Fireside Theatre stage.
