Being dubbed ‘the vasectomy comedy', The Love Knot, a new play produced by The Directors LLP is playing at the company's new home, The Music Box Theatre, as part of a 14 city tour this fall. With seven Minneapolis performances from September 24th through October 2nd, the production was written exclusively for The Directors by nationally recognized playwright Allison Moore and is directed by Minneapolis director and producer Steve Barberio.

Hennepin Theatre Trust will host a special 5 p.m. Billy Elliot 'Happy Hour' On Sale Event set for Thursday, Sept. 23 at the State Theatre Box Office in downtown Minneapolis to launch single ticket sales and give those in attendance the best chance for great seats. On that day starting at 5 p.m., tickets will only be sold in person at the State Theatre. Added Happy Hour attractions include refreshments, exclusive offers by Trust restaurant partners and an appearance by BT, the Cities 97 Radio personality. When three strangers arrive in a town that has been ravaged by war and famine, they start to cook a pot of stone soup. The townsfolk are wary and suspicious of the strangers and of each other, but one carrot at a time, they come around to trust the newcomers. When the soup is ready and everyone shares in the feast, the town is brought back together, and the strangers have mysteriously disappeared.
