SteppingStone Theatre presents The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

By:

SteppingStone Theatre's long running holiday tradition returns for its 19th year! The antics of the Herdmans the worst kids in the whole history of the world bring chaos, disaster, and then miraculously turn what should be the worst show into - The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

Featuring unforgettable, beloved characters, like the Herman children, the church ladies and a heavenly choir of baby angels, and staged with show-biz flair, sparkling costumes, great dialog, brilliant music and a whole lot of fun, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! is a favorite holiday treat that¹s affordable for the whole family.

This popular play, based on the book by Barbara Robinson, is the perfect example of why one should never judge a book by its cover. It is a celebration of how achievement can triumph over expectations.

Director Stephen Houtz says "Although I have taught with SteppingStone for over 10 years, this is my first time directing a main-stage production at SteppingStone. I'm pleased and excited to bring The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! to life this year. For me, the play is a memory play, reminding us all of those Christmases past, and what they mean to us. I'm excited about the wonderful cast, and hope you enjoy our vision of this now classic play."

Artistic Director Richard Hitchler explains We are so pleased to have the talents of Stephen Houtz helping us to celebrate our 19th season of the Best Christmas Pageant Ever! We are also thrilled to have a large cast, with some new performers and some veterans of our stage and of other Christmas Pageant productions.

He continues, The play perfectly aligns with our mission, to give youth an opportunity to perform and hone their acting skills. They more than fulfill the high expectations that we set for them. We take relatively novice actors and we give them the tools to succeed they succeed brilliantly!
